Hiring a cinematographer to document your wedding is a big deal! Here are some tidbits of information to give you more insight into how we operate...
Why should we consider a wedding film?
Your wedding day is the biggest day of your life, and you will be surprised how fast everything happens. It’s like being a horse with blinders. It’s impossible to take in every detail that took months to plan. Friends and family come from all over to celebrate with you and many unfortunately cannot attend. A wedding film is a timeless work of art that will capture the emotion, the things you did not see, and all the memorable moments of the day.
How do we hire you?
Simply start by filling out the contact form. We’ll quickly follow up with you about our availability and what we can offer. We’ve found that it’s best to give a consultation over the phone, FaceTime, or Zoom to go over your vision, wedding plans, and what we can do to best document your day. Once we determine we’re a good fit for each other we’ll send you a contract to complete and ask for a deposit, which is all done online. Easy as that!
What do we get?
This depends. The centerpiece of our packages is a cinematic wedding film, a fully produced, compelling masterpiece complete with stunning visuals, fitting music, and sound bites from the day like vows and speeches.
We also offer various other videos to round out your cinematography package, such as:
-Full length ceremony
-Reception highlights/entire toasts
-Bonus Reel raw footage video
-Social media trailer
What kind of music do you use in your wedding films?
Music is an important aspect of any film, as it totally sets the mood. While you may be hoping to use a particular song in your wedding film, most likely we will not be able to obtain the rights to legally use it. We do utilize several libraries where we can license all the music in our films. It’s a painstaking process and we work hard to find the right music to fit the vibe of your wedding.
How many cinematographers/cameras do you use?
Every event is unique. We work closely with our clients to assess logistics, layouts, and timelines while using our experience to determine the right team for each event. We typically use up to 4 cameras for your wedding ceremony.
I’m a bit camera-shy. Is this going to be a problem?
Relax. There is so much activity happening on your wedding day, we will most likely be the last thing you notice. Our shooting style is to naturally “blend in” to our surroundings and capture the action as it happens, so you may not even know we’re there!
Do you travel?
We primarily serve Asheville and the Western North Carolina region along with destinations throughout the southeast and beyond. Travel rates may apply for events over an hour outside Asheville, NC. Did we mention we have passports?
What is your COVID-19 policy?
These are extraordinary times for sure! We strive to do our best to navigate these challenges and will work with you as best as we can should you need to postpone your event to another day. We adhere to state and venue guidelines to assure the safety of you, your guests, fellow vendors, and ourselves. We wear masks when necessary, use hand sanitizer, and shoot from safe distances.
